DDx now includes off-site renewable energy

The DDx has been enhanced to allow teams to optionally track more specific information about fuel sources and renewables that reflect the values of the program! With these updates, you can track on-site and off-site renewables on your pursuite for carbon neutral buildings! This feature is only available for whole building projects that have been energy modeled. Click here for more information.

Embodied carbon added
Beginning in reporting year 2019, DDx users will be able to record whole building embodied carbon calculations as part of the reporting process. The field is optional. Click here for more information.

Measured Energy added
DDx users are now able to import/input measured energy use for their projects. This exciting new feature allows users to compare their design goals against actual performance information. See Measured Energy Phase in the help pages for additional details.

HVAC Tab removed
The HVAC Tab has been disabled based on user feedback. Please contact 2030Commitment@aia.org with questions.

Zero Tool integrated

To maintain the ability to calculate a Baseline EUI for projects using CBECS 2003, the basis for the Architecture 2030 Challenge, Zero Tool has added as the primary baseline calculation tool. See About Zero Tool for additional information.

Parking use type added

Up to three types of parking can now be associated with projects as a secondary use type to enable more complete energy consumption documentation for projects.

Energy modeling tool additions

EnergyPlus Ladybug Tools and Cove.tool have been added to the energy modeling tool options.
